The Bratislava Account brings another online service

As with the property tax, there is no longer any need to wait at the post office, print out decisions or deal with delivery by mail with the municipal waste fee. Residents thus save time and help the environment.

Users with an active electronic mailbox on slovensko.sk will have the decision delivered there automatically. If the user does not have an active electronic mailbox, they can choose to receive information about the fee applied in the form of a notification, i.e., by e-mail in the Bratislava Account. In this case, the tax administrator does not send the decision by post but sends an e-mail notification through the Bratislava Account with information about the assessed fee, which must be paid within 15 days of delivery.

The selected method of notification on the Bratislava website ↗︎ also applies to the property tax, and the municipal waste fee and can be changed every year by 1 February. After this date, the tax administrator begins issuing decisions on the municipal waste fee and in the months April to May also decisions on the property tax.

As many as 75% of verified Bratislava Account users who have their property tax in the system prefer delivery in the form of a notification over delivery by post. The municipal waste fee and property tax can be paid using a payment card, including with Apple Pay and Google Pay support, by scanning a QR code or by a bank transfer, with all data available directly in the Bratislava Account.
